Paul Pulsipher

I have always been in awe of individuals with abilities like Beethoven, Chopin, Kabalevsky and Clementi, but also artists like Jon Schmidt, Jarrod Radnich, Lindsey Stirling and Alex Boye.  Each musical artist has their own unique style with something different to contribute to the musical world so I try to take some amount of inspiration from everything I hear.  I'm not nearly as gifted as Glen Gould, but I take an approach similar to his in my work.  I can 'hear' melodies, baselines, harmonies, etc - in my head higher quality than I do out loud.  I consider myself blessed by God with this ability because I think I share a very small part of many composers creative genius in that sometimes inspiration just flows and sometimes it doesn't.  My works all come from when it is flowing the strongest.  If I'm not 'really feeling it' I won't write it down.  Sometimes this means I have many pieces that I start and don't finish for a long time, but when I get a finished product done, I CAN'T WAIT to share it with the world.  Happy Listening!
